Have you ever wondered about the East Burke Dam?  Why was it taken out?  What is happening there now?  Join the Burke Conservation Commission and the Caledonia County Natural Resources Conservation District on Wednesday, October 7th from 6 to 7:30 pm to learn about the East Burke Dam, how it was removed nine years ago, and how the site has evolved since the removal was completed.

We’ll be joined by Roy Schiff of SLR International, Ron Rhodes from the Connecticut River Conservancy, and Sacha Pealer, Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation River Scientist & Floodplain Manager, who were directly involved in the removal of the dam.  Bring your questions and observations!

This event is free and open to the public.  Light snacks will be provided.  Contact emily@caledoniacountynrcd.org with questions or to request an accommodation.
