Planning for Pollinators

A FREE Workshop on Pollinator Habitat Creation and Restoration

October 4th , 2025

Danville, VT

Do you love waking up to singing birds or watching butterflies in your garden? Do you wish you could do something to help support pollinators and our winged friends but don't know where to start?

Join us for a FREE workshop to learn about creating and managing pollinator habitats on your property. This is a unique opportunity to get outside with leading conservation experts in our region for a practical how-to! We will be evaluating a former hayfield as a potential restoration site as our case study.

Learn more about:

  • Identifying local pollinator species
  • Choosing the right native plants for your area
  • Site preparation and planting techniques
  • Long-term management of pollinator habitats, incl. soil health and water management
  • When and how to maintain grasslands for birds versus planting for pollinators
  • Available cost-share and technical assistance programs

This workshop is free and open to the public. Don't miss this chance to make a difference for pollinators and your local ecosystem!
